Ellen Nettles brings together aesthetic training, extensive art world experience, and sophisticated business and marketing expertise.

She began studying painting at the Art Students League of New York at the age of 13 and continued her studies there over the course of eight years. She earned an A.B. in Art History from Barnard College, Columbia University, and later received an M.B.A. in Marketing from NYU’s Stern School of Business, where she was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma in recognition of her academic achievement.

Nettles began her professional career at Marilyn Pearl Gallery in New York and later worked at The Museum of Modern Art, New York and Pace Gallery. She subsequently founded and directed an internationally recognized gallery, True Fakes Ltd., specializing in artist-made interpretations of iconic works. She received extensive publicity and acclaim for her efforts. Her later experience includes building several corporate art collections, starting an online gallery as well as collecting, buying, and selling rare art books.

Since 2005, Nettles has helped artists clarify their goals, strengthen their professional presentation, design successful marketing campaigns and develop practical strategies for building sustainable careers. As an experienced art-world professional, she understands the creative process as well as the challenges artists face in bringing their work to a wider audience. Her approach combines imagination, strategic thinking, and pragmatic guidance tailored to each artist and their work.
